We are seeking a Lead Data Analyst for a short‑term support engagement to provide coverage while the team backfills roles following unexpected attrition. This analyst will support ad hoc Tableau reporting requests submitted through a Slack channel and help ensure continuity of critical HR reporting. The team currently supports approximately 30 Tableau reports, with three high‑usage dashboards accounting for roughly 90% of report views by HR stakeholders. Data flows from SQL Server to Tableau Server and Tableau Desktop. The role will involve working with sensitive HR data in a secure, highly governed environment.
Job Responsibility:
Provide timely support for ad hoc Tableau reporting requests submitted via Slack
Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify patterns, insights, and trends that inform business decisions
Develop, update, and maintain dashboards, reports, and forecasts that clearly tell a story through data
Partner with business stakeholders to deliver actionable insights, recommendations, and analysis (written, verbal, and presentation‑based)
Produce high‑quality, value‑driven analytics that support operational improvements, KPI tracking, and root cause analysis
Apply data visualization and design best practices while incorporating provided design direction
Support and enhance existing analytics products and reporting environments, including governance, documentation, and access controls
Collaborate with cross‑functional partners and serve as a trusted, consultative advisor to business clients, including senior leaders
Capture business requirements and contribute to KPI frameworks and analytical standards
Leverage metrics and analytics to inform forecasts related to cost, risk, and performance
Demonstrate adaptability, curiosity, and comfort working in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, or a related field
4–5+ years of professional experience in analytics or data‑related roles
3+ years of hands‑on analytics experience supporting business decision‑making
5+ years of progressively responsible experience in research, data analysis, reporting, or application development
Strong expertise with analytical tools such as SQL, SAS, Excel, SPSS, R, or similar platforms
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
Proven ability to analyze data from multiple internal and external sources
Ability to communicate insights clearly and effectively to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
Experience providing department‑level expertise and contributing analysis at an enterprise level
Nice to have:
