Job Description:

Lead Cyber Security Research Consultant who will investigate existing types of threat actor techniques, tactics, and procedures as well as technology exploits and vulnerabilities based on cyber threat intelligence. Research will analyze these capabilities and attempt to predict their applicability in the Wells Fargo ecosystem, our detection capabilities, and our security posture is against them.

Job Responsibility:

Lead initiatives including the research, analysis, design, testing and implementation of the most complex computer network security and protection technologies
Act as professional ethical penetration tester utilizing hacking tools to modify or create proof of concept exploits
Review and analyze complex advanced computer security incident response activities and technical investigations
Identify vulnerabilities and associate those with a severity rating by deriving impact and ease of exploit
Interpret cyber threat intelligence and provide feedback on likelihood of its use against the bank
Identify emerging vulnerabilities being exploited by threat actors, vet applicability to Wells Fargo environment
Conduct security risk assessments to ensure compliance with corporate information security policies
Communicate to the line of business on the inherent risks, providing meaningful mitigation strategies
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Engineer solutions rapidly to mitigate risk and enable security researchers or intel analysts during incidents or operations

Requirements:

5+ years of Cyber Security experience
3+ years of experience in network, social, and physical domains
2+ Years working with MITRE ATT&CK and/or NIST frameworks
Demonstrated experience leading initiatives

Nice to have:

Information security experience in converged testing (red teaming)
Information Security Engineering experience
Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand environment while balancing multiple priorities
Knowledge and understanding of data security controls including malware protection, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, content filtering, Internet proxies, encryption controls, and log management solutions
Knowledge and understanding of threat analysis and assessment of potential and current information security risk/threats
Experience with Cloud and Virtualization/Containerization technologies
