Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Credit Portfolio Consultant to join the Commercial Bank. This role will support specific lines of business in areas including credit policy review, credit procedure development, and consulting on credit policy impacts on transactions. The person will also communicate important concepts to the line of business, work with peers at the Commercial Banking and enterprise levels, provide front line training where applicable, and interact with senior business leaders.

Job Responsibility:

Lead complex credit initiatives including cross-functional projects
Make decisions in complex situations requiring understanding of credit policy and portfolio strategies
Collaborate and consult with peers and managers to resolve credit and portfolio issues
Coordinate with subject matter experts on credit policy matters
Communicate credit policy and procedure changes to the line of business
Maintain and update credit policy related procedures
Direct and coordinate various activities including periodic training on credit risk
Provide oversight on credit risk governance across assigned businesses
Prepare policy exemption requests and obtain required approvals
Lead and contribute to various projects
Assist the business on internal and external exams and audits

Requirements:

5+ years of Credit Consulting Portfolio experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education
5+ years of experience with asset-based or floor plan lending and leasing
Commercial credit experience
Familiarity with commercial credit policies
Strong technical writing skills
Ability to communicate with senior leaders clearly and concisely
