Job Responsibility

  • Execute projects defined by the LBI leadership team, contributing to strategic transformation across the LBI function
  • Attend leadership team meetings as required to provide updates and insights
  • Building a new function and setting appropriate governance to ensure oversight and reporting
  • Manage panel law firm governance, relationship development, event coordination, spend strategy, and data reporting cadence to the L&BI leadership team
  • Understand the external legal technology landscape and identify opportunities for innovation
  • Use data analytics to extract insights, inform decision-making, and measure the impact of L&BI initiatives
  • Implement processes and standards for matter management, knowledge sharing, and information governance at the direction of the L&BI leadership team
  • Lead the adoption and optimisation of legal technology platforms, including matter management, eBilling, and contract lifecycle tools
  • Leverage data and management information (MI) to inform decision-making, track KPIs, and monitor benefits realisation

Requirements

  • Experience working in a large in-house legal department with a similar size and complexity
  • Demonstrable experience of working in companies undergoing transformation
  • Proven track record working with senior Leadership Teams
  • Proven track record implementing multiple technology platforms
  • Deep experience with supplier management and panel management
  • Experience using legal analytics tools and reporting software to identify trends and support decision-making
  • Strong drafting skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and effective documentation
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a leader in legal operations with a strong track record of leading cross-functional projects
  • Project management qualifications and experience delivering complex initiatives
  • Proficiency in tools such as PowerApps, Power BI, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Word and the capability to develop performance metrics and dashboards to drive insights quickly
