Job Description:

Senior level position responsible for directing day-to-day legal activities as part of Citi's Markets Legal Function, providing legal support, advice, and guidance to Citi's Commodities Business on legal and regulatory risks associated with commodities trading activity.

Job Responsibility:

Provide commercial legal support for Citigroup's financial and physical commodities business
Advise on financial hedging, security structures and commodity monetization structures
Negotiate and draft structured financial documentation
Provide legal counsel to the Business
Partner with business/functional line management
Collaborate across internal lines of business
Proactively identify, evaluate, and contribute to risk management
Manage day-to-day legal activities
Monitor management of complex legal issues and transactions

Requirements:

5 – 7+ years of relevant legal experience
Knowledge of trading documentation, regulations and practices
Experience with complex deals
Effective communication and negotiation skills
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and relationship management skills
Proven ability to apply sound judgement
Bar license in good standing to practice law
Juris Doctorate or equivalent law degree
