Job Description

Meta is looking for a Lead Counsel, Labor & Employment, EMEA, on its Employment Law & Investigations team. This is a 14 month long Short-Term Employee position which will be based in London with responsibilities for EMEA-wide employment law support.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide advice and counsel across the region on a broad range of employee related issues including performance and disciplinary matters, team re-organizations, internal investigations, future of work programs, compensation and benefits, corporate transactions, and employment policies and procedures
  • Draft and revise employment related agreements and policies including offer letters, severance agreements, confidentiality agreements, employee handbooks, and other employment related documents
  • Partner with internal teams to build processes and playbooks for recurring employee-related matters
  • Working on other region wide projects and initiatives

Requirements

  • Law degree or equivalent certificate to permit the practice of law
  • Appropriately licensed and authorized to practice law for the company in assigned work location
  • Hold a current practicing certificate or local law equivalent bar registration/license
  • 3+ years of post-qualification work experience
  • Experience with labor and employment laws in EMEA including performance management, compliance and disciplinary procedures
  • Willingness to learn in new jurisdictions
  • Experience in partnering effectively with cross-functional teams to provide practical advice and bring forward strategic and scalable solutions
  • Experience coordinating and driving to completion large scale projects under tight deadlines
