Job Responsibility:
Oversee and participate in preparing, cooking, and plating dishes from Uncle Giuseppe's recipes
navigate Zipline to retrieve recipes, communicate updates, and complete tasks
maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning
lead and inspire kitchen crew including seafood clerks
teach cooking techniques, safety, and equipment use
manage inventory and stock levels
keep kitchen clean and functional
maintain safety and sanitation standards
taste-test dishes to meet quality standards
adjust recipes as needed
collaborate on menu development and seasonal specials
monitor food costs and minimize waste
ensure effective communication with front-of-house staff
interact with customers during special events
enforce food safety and hygiene practices
handle kitchen issues efficiently
communicate with management
offer feedback to improve operations
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
minimum 2 years cooking experience
strong hands-on cooking skills
ability to lead a kitchen team
excellent communication skills in English
ServSafe certification preferred
ability to work under pressure and manage stress
knowledge of food safety and sanitation
physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds
multitasking in a busy kitchen environment
2+ years of experience as a prep or line cook
leadership experience a plus
experience working in fast-paced environments
bilingual English/Spanish a plus
knowledge of cooking methods and kitchen techniques
