Job Description:

Lead Compliance Officer role covering Credit and Structured Products Group businesses at Wells Fargo, providing regulatory compliance advice and support to ensure business operations within regulatory framework

Job Responsibility:

Provide accurate and timely regulatory compliance advice to Credit and Structured Products Group businesses
Act as subject matter expert on relevant regulations
Proactively challenge business lines to ensure compliance risk is identified and managed
Support business in identification and management of Compliance issues and risks
Represent Compliance at governance committees and forums
Oversee team's involvement in business led projects and new business initiatives
Engage with legal department and other second line risk functions
Engage with Global and International Compliance teams on regulatory change management, risk assessments, policy and training

Requirements:

Experience in Compliance or equivalent through work experience, training, military experience, education
Strong educational background with a university degree
Experience in compliance and regulatory field within financial services
Extensive knowledge of Global Markets at leading global financial services firm(s)
Advisory experience covering Credit businesses
Strong understanding of market and regulatory environment
Seasoned Compliance professional with matured leadership capabilities
Strong intellectual capability and flexibility
Ability to exercise independent thought and influence/challenge senior stakeholders
Good sense of judgement and commitment to Wells Fargo transformation journey
Ability to lead projects with focus on pace of execution
Ability to forge relationships across multiple functions
Ability to deal with change and exhibit service led mindset
Ability to challenge independently and constructively
Communicate effectively and confidently at all organizational levels

Nice to have:

Professional qualifications, certificates, and/or registrations relevant to Compliance/financial services
Corporate and Investment Banking experience in Compliance, Legal, Risk or the Business
