Job Description:

Reporting to the Director, Compensation, the Compensation Lead partners with HRBPs, People Experience, and Talent Acquisition to deliver compensation programs across Canada and the U.S. This role supports compensation program design, year-end planning, job evaluation, market analysis, and modeling. You will also play a key role in transforming compensation processes and modernizing our tools.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the delivery of compensation programs (salary, STI, LTI) and advise HR and business leaders on offers, promotions, relocations, and retention matters
  • Conduct job evaluations, market pricing, and salary range development, including gathering business context and communicating rationale
  • Lead all aspects of the annual compensation planning cycle: project planning, budgeting, survey review, salary structures, bonus calculations, and system configuration with HR Systems, PEX, and Payroll
  • Participate in annual compensation surveys and maintain vendor relationships
  • Design and enhance compensation and incentive programs that support business objectives
  • build compensation models to assess financial and employee impact
  • Provide coaching and training to Compensation Partners and other Total Rewards team members
  • supervise junior team members as needed
  • Lead or support cross-functional projects and deliver training to managers on compensation fundamentals
  • Support compensation process improvements, system enhancements, and modernization initiatives
  • Travel 1–2 times per year for team meetings or development opportunities

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in compensation/Total Rewards
  • Strong experience providing compensation consultation to HR and business leaders
  • Deep knowledge of compensation design practices, market trends, and benchmarking
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills and experience working with large datasets
  • Experience designing incentive plans
  • Proficiency with HRIS or compensation planning platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Dayforce)
  • Strong data visualization and storytelling skills (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis or compensation analytics tools
  • Experience with pay equity methodologies and analysis
  • Experience using AI‑based tools, analytics models, or automation capabilities to enhance compensation processes, insights, or workflows
