Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Compensation Consultant - Job Architecture who will play a key role in shaping enterprise job frameworks, advising partners on role design, and driving consistency across the organization. This role blends consultative partnership, analytical rigor, and cross-functional project leadership.

Job Responsibility:

  • Serve as a trusted internal consultant to Compensation and HR partners on job architecture strategy, role design, and alignment to enterprise frameworks
  • Partner with HR teams and business leaders to evaluate and resolve complex job and role issues, weighing both tangible and intangible factors
  • Lead and deliver enterprise-level job architecture initiatives, including job catalog updates, role realignments, and consistency reviews across lines of business
  • Analyze large-scale operational or technical challenges, applying sound judgment to evaluate multiple, sometimes unprecedented, factors
  • Make informed decisions in complex situations, ensuring alignment with policy, compliance expectations, and broader enterprise strategy
  • Collaborate with peers and partners to resolve issues, build alignment, and support business objectives
  • Lead projects or initiatives and serve as a peer mentor, contributing to enterprise job architecture practices and governance

Requirements:

5+ years of Compensation experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Nice to have:

  • Experience participating in or leading job architecture or job catalog transformations, including role realignments, leveling consistency, and governance practices
  • Strong consulting skills, with the ability to diagnose ambiguous problems, influence stakeholders, and translate complex information into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Experience supporting Line of Business (LOB) or Enterprise Compensation, including advising HR and business leaders on job design, role scope, leveling, and alignment to enterprise frameworks
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand business strategy and operating models and translate them into practical job architecture and compensation solutions
  • Demonstrated project management experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
  • Experience supporting or leading change management efforts, including influencing stakeholders, driving adoption of new frameworks or processes, and operating effectively in ambiguous environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate multiple factors and recommend solutions aligned to policy, compliance, and business needs
