We are seeking a Coldplate Design Engineer to join our team and drive the development of advanced thermal solutions for next-generation data center hardware. In this role, you will design and optimize cold plates for liquid-cooled servers and switches, ensuring high reliability, manufacturability, and performance. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers to deliver efficient thermal designs, validate system-level cooling performance, and resolve thermal challenges through root-cause analysis and corrective actions. This position requires strong expertise in mechanical design, thermal simulation, and system integration to enable cutting-edge liquid cooling technologies
Job Responsibility:
Design cold plates mechanically, including tolerance analysis, TIM selection, thermal simulation and optimization
Ensure cold plate reliability and manufacturability (DFM/DFR) by collaborating with suppliers and manufacturing partners
Deliver high-efficiency liquid cooling solutions and contribute to system-level thermal design for liquid-cooled servers and switches
Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing partners on cold plate test fixture design, test plans, and test methodologies
Perform system level thermal validation of the liquid cooling loop, including test planning, execution, documentation, and reporting
Collaborate cross-functional teams with ME, EE, Reliability, and Platform teams to ensure cold plate compatibility with the overall system architecture
Perform root-cause analysis of thermal failures, cooling inefficiencies, and field issues, and drive corrective actions
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical, Thermal engineering with 8+ years in thermal design for electronics cooling
Strong hands-on experience with 3D CAD tools such as Creo, SolidWorks
Experience with thermal analysis tools such as Flotherm, FloEFD and Marcroflow
Experience correlating simulation and experimental results
