The position of the Lead Coach consists of delivering structured, age-appropriate training sessions and matchday experiences across the range of competitive Girls United FC teams (U9 to U16) that play in the Tandridge Youth Football League. The position will include delivery of practical sessions, supporting/developing players and working alongside our existing workforce.
Job Responsibility:
attending sessions, events and fixtures agreed in advance with the FC Programme Lead
overseeing and supporting assistant coaches
building rapport and trust with players, parents and guardians
developing technical, tactical, social, psychological and physical aspects of players
working collaboratively with other team members
supporting positive relationships with community groups and partner organisations
overseeing safeguarding and ensuring player wellbeing
supporting wider team with new ideas and programmes
involvement within fixture programme/days
delivering periodic player development reflections and interventions
Requirements:
FA Level 2 in Football Coaching (or working towards)
in-date qualification for Safeguarding Children and First Aid in Football
at least one season of experience leading a (youth) team in grassroots football in the girls/women's space
experience delivering sessions and a fixture programme
experience of league administration such as match cards, player cards and match reports
communication skills to build positive rapport with players, parents, venues, schools and funders
organisation skills to manage time effectively and be punctual
adaptability and flexibility to work evenings and weekends
