Job Description:

The Lead Cloud Architect, VP is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field, develops technology road maps, provides technical leadership, translates complex business problems into technical solutions, and recommends innovative technologies while working within the banking industry.

Job Responsibility:

Executes the architectural vision for all IT systems through major, complex IT architecture projects
ensures that architecture conforms to enterprise blueprints
develops technology road maps, while keeping up-to-date with emerging technologies, and recommends business directions based on these technologies
provides technical leadership and is responsible for developing components of, or the overall systems design
translates complex business problems into sound technical solutions
reviews system, solution, application, infrastructure and data architectures, document findings, make recommendations and support implementation
reviews new and existing third-party products and tools for fitness for purpose based on functional and non-functional requirements, and technology strategy
makes product and tool recommendations based on functional and non-functional requirements, and technology strategy
performs other job duties and functions as assigned

Requirements:

5 or more years of relevant experience in System Design and/or Cloud Technologies is required
demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
proven influencing and relationship management skills
proven analytical skills
strong communication skills, with the capability to advise on engineering topics at both a technical & executive level
architecture experience in Citi or other related banking industry role is a plus
ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual team
experience of cloud-native architectures and delivery of such solutions using microservice patterns
experience in Agile and DevOps approaches – e.g. continuous integration, test automation, frequent releases, containerization
understanding of HTTP and REST based architectures
knowledge of datastore technologies – relational, non-relational - such as ORaaS, MongoDB, Redis, Couchbase
knowledge of BareMetal Kubernetes/OpenShift deployments
experience with modern platform-as-a-service operating models
API design/development including underlying technologies, Domain-Driven Design, and micro-services development
an understanding of, and ideally experience with, cloud hosting providers and containerization technologies
exposure to Security concepts and technologies related to authentication, authorization, encryption, data protection, threat prevention, and S-SDLC best practices

Nice to have:

Architecture experience in Citi or other related banking industry role
exposure to Security concepts and technologies related to authentication, authorization, encryption, data protection, threat prevention, and S-SDLC best practices
