Job Description:

The Clinical Solutions Architect (CSA) provides Subject Matter Expert (SME) support to our sales partners by designing and quoting the technical, functional, and clinical capabilities of Baxter’s Care Communications product portfolio. The portfolio includes Nurse Call Systems, Real Time Location Systems (RTLS), Patient Engagement Systems, Clinical Communication and Collaboration Systems, Alarm and Alert Management and Medical Device Integration. Together these internally developed, and third-part products and solutions are focused on a vision of unifying the software platform to drive workflow efficiency, improve patient outcomes, patient care, patient safety and strengthen patient engagement.

Job Responsibility:

  • Collaborate with Sales partners to define scope of solution that aligns with Customer needs and expectations of Baxter Care Communications portfolio
  • Partner with key internal stakeholders to deliver first pass yield of Nurse Call Solution Designs and Quotes
  • Conduct onsite facility walkthroughs to validate in scope clinical and ancillary departments to facility provided drawings
  • Review proposed solution design with internal and external customers to ensure accuracy and breadth of scope
  • Foster positive relationships with internal stakeholders during the process of developing Statements of Work, Quotes, Change Order, Concessions from inception to closure
  • Develop and maintain Statement of Work language to support project initiative(s)
  • Provide supporting deal documentation to Order Management, Service Delivery Teams, etc
  • Assist with internal and external customer communication, education, and presentations
  • With a mindset of continuous improvement, identify, support, and promote opportunities to improve Solution Design & Quoting process(es) that supports internal and external expectations while not compromising on quality
  • Other duties, as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in healthcare, computer science, IT or other relevant fields, or a minimum 5 years in a sales engineer, implementation engineer, system administrator, architect, or project management role preferably in the healthcare industry
  • Familiarity with clinical technology systems that support patient care and patient safety initiatives
  • Familiarity with and ability to read and understand complete construction drawings, including architectural, structural, FEE, IT and MEP scope
  • Ability to work to deadlines, manage workload accordingly through prioritization, possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • 3+ years of BIM experience in healthcare construction, IT healthcare low-voltage industry or similar is preferred
  • 3 years of progressive experience in AutoCAD
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

  • Understanding of clinical workflows
  • Experience with a general contractor, electrical contractor or low-voltage contractor
  • Knowledge of IT network, servers, and infrastructure
