We have embarked on a programme to implement a single Electronic Patient Record (EPR) as part of the NHS digital health ongoing initiative across the Norfolk and Waveney Acute Hospital Collaborative (NWAHC). The collaborative is made up of three acute hospitals in Norfolk and Waveney; James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (JPUH), Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NNUH), The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust (QEH). Job Responsibility:

  • Play a key role in the implementation of the Trusts Digital Clinical Safety Strategy, ensuring the effective and efficient use of healthcare associated technologies to support the delivery of high quality and safe patient care
  • Responsible for leading and providing expertise on effective clinical risk management of all Digital Health Applications and IT systems ensuring compliance with safety standards, DCB0129 and DCB0160
  • Support the development of a shared clinical safety approach for all healthcare associated technologies and a clinical risk management plan that will underpin the development and implementation of the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) solution
  • Prioritising continuous improvements to the digital culture of the organisation
  • Champion and support the safe implementation of new digital solutions
  • Act as a primary point of contact and escalation

Requirements:

  • Registered healthcare professional with current UK registration- Valid NMC, GMC, HCPC registration required
  • Educated at degree level in a health-related subject or equivalent experience
  • Experienced Clinical Safety Officer with portfolio of evidence to demonstrate practice and achievements
  • Working knowledge and experience of all relevant UK legislation relating to Clinical Safety including DCB0129 and DCB0160 standards
  • Excellent writing and verbal skills, including preparation of formal reports and creation of presentations and training materials
  • Highly developed motivational and organisational skills, ability to inspire others to work in a new way or environment
  • Personal resilience and determination to make a tangible contribution to healthcare
