Our multi agency child protection team are a team of experienced social workers who specialise in protecting children and families. These social workers are called Lead Child Protection Practitioners (LCPPs), and they are part of the Multi-Agency Child Protection Team (MACPT). This team works closely with professionals from other fields, such as health, police, education, mental health, and other services.
Job Responsibility:
Support social workers as they undertake child protection investigations
Offer consultation, guidance and support to the workforce and directly to families
Facilitate child protection decision making meetings in keeping with the changes brought about by the families first for children reform
Requirements:
Experienced social worker with experience within child protection
Experience in court work and attending court
Experience in completing assessments for court
Preferably qualification or experience in supporting less experienced members of staff
Enhanced DBS check
Essential car user
The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post
Must have the right to work in the UK to be eligible for appointment
