We are looking for an experienced Case Manager to join our non-profit organization in Waukegan, Illinois. This long-term contract to hire role focuses on overseeing the delivery of domestic violence programs, managing staff and volunteers, and ensuring trauma-informed services for clients. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership and organizational skills to maintain compliance, quality service, and impactful program outcomes.
Job Responsibility:
Supervise daily operations of domestic violence programs, ensuring services are trauma-informed and tailored to client needs
Lead and manage a team of approximately six employees and several volunteers, ensuring adequate staffing to meet program demands
Coordinate client intakes, assessments, mental health services, and follow-up care to provide comprehensive support
Review and maintain statistical data to ensure service quality and compliance with organizational standards
Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual program reports on time
Ensure staff maintain accurate and up-to-date client files and databases, adhering to organizational policies
Collaborate with other departments and community partners to secure resources and support for clients
Monitor program budgets, making necessary adjustments to uphold financial integrity
Follow established policies, detail-oriented standards, and regulatory requirements while performing job duties
Uphold the organization’s values, including compassion, solidarity, hope, and measurable impact
Requirements:
5 years of relevant experience
Ideal candidate has worked as a case manager in a DV program, or at a shelter in a DV program, or transitional housing site - where clients live for periods of time
Some previous supervisory experience
We highly prefer someone who has managed people, managed a schedule, and can coordinate activities across a group / site
Experience as an office manager or office administrator is relevant if they have experience directing work and documenting activities
Candidate must have a high level of empathy for clients
Bachelors degree
Microsoft office skills highly preferred as this person will be using Outlook, Word, and Excel
Clinical license is relevant but not required
