Job Description:

The Lead BI Data & Transformation Analyst – VP is a senior-level leadership position responsible for guiding a team in charge of business intelligence and workflow mapping. This role involves comprehensive oversight of the end-to-end lifecycle of mission-critical enterprise BI solutions and workflow mapping tools, ensuring alignment with business process improvement goals. The successful candidate will act as a strategic professional, adept at navigating developments in BI and data transformation, and will contribute significantly to directional strategy.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a lean team (3-8 analysts) of BI producers and in-house workflow mapping tool producers
  • Define, design, and implement the vision and strategy for BI and data visualization
  • Oversee the design, development, implementation, and support of mission-critical enterprise Business Intelligence (BI) solutions
  • Conduct and lead workshops with users/cross-functional teams to understand business processes and workflows
  • Establish and enforce standards for BI development, data governance, and change management
  • Design and develop targeted BI solutions and analytical dashboards/products
  • Provide leadership and guidance for the development and enhancement of in-house workflow mapping tools
  • Drive the reduction and simplification of process requirements across the organization
  • Act as a primary liaison between business users and technologists
  • Ensure proper configuration management and change controls are implemented
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made
  • Drive compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years' experience developing and implementing enterprise-scale dashboards, including working with users in a requirements analysis role
  • Extensive experience with data warehouse implementations
  • Knowledge of logical and physical data modeling concepts (relational and dimensional)
  • Experience with process mapping, modeling, and analysis techniques and tools, with an understanding of workflow automation
  • Performance tuning experience related to analytical queries
  • Understanding of data integration issues (validation and cleaning), and familiarity with complex data and structures
  • BI Experience Required (e.g., Cognos, PowerBI, Tableau)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) with extensive experience using Excel for data analysis
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field is preferable or degrees in Business Administration with a focus on Analytics or Operations Management
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the principles of business analysis
  • Experience with all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with commercially available workflow tools is a plus
  • Programming/scripting experience and knowledge of software development life cycle is preferred
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma is a significant plus
  • Internal Corporate Real Estate background or understanding is a significant plus
  • Master's degree preferred
