Job Title: Lead AV Installation Engineer Location: London (Site Based) Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 The Company We're working with a well-established AV integrator with a strong reputation in the corporate market. As the business continues to grow, they're looking to bring in a Lead AV Installation Engineer, someone who can take ownership on site and grow with the business as it scales. This isn't just an installation role. For the right engineer, it's a platform. The business is in a strong period of growth, and this hire is part of a deliberate investment in their technical team. As they take on more projects and expand their delivery capability, they're looking for someone who can lead from the front now - and step into a broader role as the business develops around them. Whether that means moving into a Project Management, Technical Lead, or Systems Commissioning position further down the line, the trajectory is there for those who want it.

Job Responsibility

  • Take responsibility for the delivery of professional AV installations across a varied portfolio of commercial environments - from meeting rooms and collaboration spaces through to auditoriums and presentation suites
  • Oversee projects from first fix through to commissioning and client handover, leading on site and ensuring every installation is delivered to a consistently high standard
  • Installing professional AV equipment - displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, cameras, amplifiers, and control systems
  • Structured cabling, termination, rack builds, and equipment mounting
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and cable schedules
  • Testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning completed systems
  • Leading on site and coordinating subcontractors and junior engineers
  • Ensuring every handover is clean, fully tested, and client-ready

Requirements

  • At least 2 years' experience in corporate or commercial AV installation
  • Solid understanding of audio, video, and control system technologies
  • Confident reading technical drawings and schematics
  • Strong fault-finding skills and high standards of workmanship
  • Experience leading on site or supervising other engineers
  • Full UK driving licence

Nice to have

Experience commissioning control systems or holding relevant AV industry certifications
