Job Responsibility:
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and departmental growth
Technical Execution: Install and service various automated gate brands, including Liftmaster, Auto Gate, and HySecurity systems
Operations Management: Develop daily work plans, manage material requisitions, and ensure resources are allocated effectively to meet deadlines
Field Problem Solving: Act as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting electrical circuits (primary and low voltage) and resolving site-specific mechanical issues
Reporting & Liaison: Provide detailed daily progress reports and maintain professional communication with customer representatives and senior management
Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to internal and client-specific safety protocols
Requirements:
CET (Certified Engineering Technologist) designation is an desired asset
Deep knowledge of electrical circuitry and mechanical systems
proficiency in welding and operating light machinery (mini-trenchers, skid steers) is required
Proven track record in gate operator installation or a closely related automated systems field
Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean abstract, a clear criminal record check, and the ability to pass ongoing drug and alcohol screenings
Willingness to work 44–50 hours per week and travel for out-of-town projects as needed
