We are looking for an experienced Lead Audio-Video Installation Technician to support commercial AV projects. This field-based role is ideal for someone who can install and troubleshoot integrated systems while guiding team members on best practices and job site execution. You will play a key part in delivering reliable, high-quality results across environments ranging from single-room setups to complex multi-space installations.
Job Responsibility
Lead on-site commercial audio-video installations and help ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule
Install, configure, and troubleshoot AV components such as flat panel displays, projectors, audio systems, video distribution equipment, control systems, and IP-based devices
Build and organize equipment racks, manage cable routing, perform rough-in work, and maintain clean, detail-focused installation standards
Coordinate with project stakeholders including sales engineering, internal teams, clients, and other trades to support smooth project delivery
Train and mentor technicians in installation methods, troubleshooting approaches, and job site expectations
Diagnose system issues in the field and perform advanced service work to restore functionality and maintain performance
Use power tools, ladders, and standard industry equipment while following all required safety procedures on active job sites
Requirements
At least 3 years of experience leading installation work in commercial AV environments
At least 5 years of hands-on experience installing and troubleshooting audio-video systems
Working knowledge of structured cabling, commercial construction practices, and basic computer networking
Familiarity with industry-recognized platforms or training such as AVIXA/InfoComm, Biamp, Crestron, Extron, or Legrand AV
Ability to communicate clearly with clients, project teams, and technical stakeholders
Must have basic installation tools, a reliable vehicle, and a valid driver’s license
Ability to complete required screening, meet licensing requirements as needed, and work comfortably on ladders and with power tools
