Job Description

Total Wine & More is seeking a Lead Associate, Total Rewards to join our HR Benefits team in our Bethesda, MD office. This role supports the planning, coordination, and execution of projects related to employee benefits, compensation, leave administration, and recognition programs. This role will assist in ensuring projects meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards established by Human Resources leadership and the organization. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams, including HR, IT, and Finance, to help implement Total Rewards programs, processes, and policies that align with organizational goals. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. This role reports to the Sr. Manager, Total Rewards.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist in developing project plans, tracking milestones, and monitoring progress for Total Rewards initiatives. Maintain accurate documentation and prepare status updates
  • Coordinate day-to-day activities for projects related to compensation and benefits programs, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards
  • Partner with HR, IT, Finance, and external vendors to support project deliverables and resolve issues
  • Draft and distribute communication materials and assist in delivering training to educate employees and stakeholders on Total Rewards programs
  • Support efforts to ensure programs meet regulatory requirements and internal standards - including 5500 filings, NDT and quarterly reviews to confirm compliance
  • Serve as a resource for Total Rewards inquiries, providing guidance and escalating complex issues as needed
  • Recommend and implement process improvements and system enhancements for leave and benefits administration
  • Serve as one of the primary points of contact for employee inquiries related to benefits, leaves of absence and compensation delivering a white-glove service experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred
  • 3-6 years of experience in HR, Total Rewards, and project coordination
  • Proven track record of project management skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with analytical applications, using data and insights to inform decisions and identify process improvements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Experience working in agile environments and comfortable responding positively to changing priorities and business needs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
