Job Description:

Lead Alternative Investment Consultant in the Alternative Investments group as part of Wealth & Investment Management. Educate and consult with Wells Fargo Investment Professionals and their clients on Alternative Investment products including hedge funds, private equity, private real estate, private debt, direct private investments and other private placements.

Job Responsibility:

Increase investment acumen of Investment Professionals on alternative investments
Regularly meet with Investment Professionals and clients
Lead complex initiatives involving educating and consulting with financial advisors, investment strategists, wealth advisors, and clients on alternative investments
Build visibility around Alternative Investment platform
Work closely with leadership across all channels within Wealth and Investment Management division
Review and analyze complex multifaceted client and investment professional situations
Make decisions in complex situations requiring understanding of asset class, investment offerings, policies, procedures and compliance requirements
Collaborate with peers, colleagues and managers
Deliver branch presentations and organize meetings for outside fund managers
Provide training on new offerings, platform changes, investment strategy guidance

Requirements:

5+ years of Wealth Investment Consulting experience or equivalent through work experience, training, military experience, or education
Successfully completed FINRA Series 7 and 63 exams to qualify for immediate registration (or FINRA recognized equivalents)
Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
Not eligible for Visa sponsorship
Subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements

Nice to have:

4+ years of wholesaler or like experience in Alternative Investment product categories (hedge funds, privately held investments, private real estate, private debt, etc.)
Proven experience educating financial professionals and clients on Alternative Investment asset class
Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) certification or Advanced Financial degree
Advanced communication skills for delivering presentations
Demonstrated ability to develop and enhance partnerships with internal investment professionals, regional leadership and clients
