You will be one of the leads assigned sections and performs assigned work in support of the aircraft production line. This position is responsible for the execution of all composite activity within assigned area. Delegates and performs inspection of delegated composite work. Drives work performance of the technicians in the assigned area to ensure schedule and hour’s goals are met. Raises issues and communicates/works to resolve daily challenges with all other departments.
Job Responsibility:
Team Leadership: 50% - Ensure compliance with FAA, company policy, OSHA, safety and environmental regulations
Assess schedule dates
Assist with planning and prioritize workload
Control, assign workforce and monitor workflow
Assist supervisor in drumbeating section activity
Raise identified risks
Identify missing components
Define latest day for part receipt
Technical: 30% - Provide Technical Expertise and Recommendations
Perform composite aircraft work
Inspect completed composite work
Perform rework as required
Documentation/Compliance: 20% - Use and interpret Aircraft Documentation
Support management in providing feedback on workload/capacity
Support management in identifying training needs
Guide aircraft technicians and provide performance expectations
Train assigned technicians
Make sure training Matrix is updated
Attend regular routine meetings
Approve timecards when required
Perform supervisor functions in absence when required
Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum eight (8) years of composite experience with two (2) of the eight (8) as a senior technician or equivalent
US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder or person covered under existing ITAR license)
Physical requirements including vision, hearing, speaking, carrying up to 30lbs, lifting up to 30lbs, pushing/pulling, sitting, squatting/kneeling, standing, walking
Required PPE includes Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves
Nice to have:
Some trade school
Minimum ten (10) years composite experience
FAA Power plant or Airframe and Power plant certificate or equivalent
