Airbus Helicopter's is looking for a Lead Aircraft Helicopter Technician to join the team Flightline team in Columbus, Mississippi. In this role you will be directly involved in the daily mentoring, guidance, and training of technicians in the performance of progressive tasks in maintenance, cleaning, inspection, rework and assembly of aircraft. You will also need to demonstrate thorough knowledge of Part 21 and Part 145 standard processes in order to perform detailed assembly, installation, repair, or replacement of aircraft components and systems in the manufacture, maintenance, or refurbishing of aircraft and function check of components.
Job Responsibility:
Perform and lead a team of mechanics and flight test technicians throughout day-to-day operations of aircraft flight test and delivery
Coordinate priorities and task technicians for aircraft operational support and maintenance on the Flight Line as defined by Management to meet the flight test and delivery schedule
Ensure technicians have the tools, data, and support required to perform their functions in accordance with published schedule
Assist in troubleshooting problems and coordinate with supporting departments such as engineering and QA, to recommend resolution plans
Perform detailed assembly, installation, repair, replacement, adjustment, and alignment of parts and components
Conduct and train technicians how to perform operational checks of complete systems to verify proper functioning of components and systems to include ground and flight test operations such as engine adjustment and track and balance procedures
Perform advanced troubleshooting to diagnose malfunction or failures on the following aircraft systems: aircraft equipment furnishings, fire protection, fuel system, hydraulics, landing gear, doors, fuselage, stabilizer, rotor systems, power plant and engine controls
Assist QA by actively promoting compliance with rules/regulations and company policies and procedures, such as, but not limited to, FAA repair station, FOP/GOP, ISO, OSHA, etc.
Complete forms and records pertaining to completion of assigned work
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum eight (8) years of aviation maintenance experience, with two (2) of the eight as a senior technician or equivalent
Current FAA A&P license
Flight Line experience
Helicopter maintenance experience
Helicopter Rotor Track and Balance experience
Functional/Maintenance Test Flight experience
Airbus Helicopter airframe experience
Safran Turbomeca engine experience
Familiarity in the maintenance and principles of operation and technical requirements and systems required on H125, H130, H135, H145, and H160 airframes
Have clear understanding of Part 21 and Part 145 processes
Ability to obtain a Level 3 flight physical
US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder or person covered under our existing ITAR license)
20% Domestic and International travel availability

Aviation Trade school or Aviation degree
Minimum ten (10) years of aviation maintenance experience
Trained / certified by OEM
Safran Turbomeca and/or Pratt and Whitney training
