We are looking for an experienced accounting specialist to lead financial reporting while improving the systems and processes that support a growing organization. This position blends technical accounting expertise with a strong focus on workflow improvement, internal control discipline, and collaboration across multiple business functions. The ideal candidate is comfortable guiding core accounting activities, strengthening reporting accuracy, and helping scale operations through process and system enhancements.
Job Responsibility
Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycle, ensuring financial statements are prepared accurately and delivered on schedule
Review journal entries, general ledger activity, and account reconciliations to maintain reliable financial records and support a controlled close process
Drive improvements to accounting platforms and related workflows, including system enhancements, implementations, upgrades, and integrations where needed
Strengthen compliance with applicable accounting guidance, company policies, and internal control expectations across daily operations
Partner with internal and external auditors by organizing support, responding to inquiries, and helping resolve accounting issues efficiently
Analyze financial results and period-over-period variances to identify trends, explain key movements, and provide useful recommendations
Work closely with teams across finance, tax, treasury, and operations to improve information flow and align accounting processes with business needs
Lead initiatives that increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability within the accounting function, with a focus on sustainable process optimization
Support special assignments and ad hoc projects related to reporting, system functionality, and operational improvements
Manage intercompany accounting activities, including reconciliations and eliminations, to ensure balances are properly recorded and aligned
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA and advanced degree is preferred
At least 8 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles with increasing responsibility with a big preference for big 4 public accounting experience combined with industry experience
Strong background in month-end close, general ledger management, and preparation or review of journal entries
Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Financials or Oracle Fusion, including exposure to system implementations or enhancements
Knowledge of intercompany accounting, intercompany reconciliations, and elimination processes
Advanced Excel capabilities with the ability to work efficiently with large data sets and financial analysis
