Job Description

We are seeking LDAR Field Technicians to join our Western Canada division. If you have an unstoppable work ethic, a sharp mechanical mind, and a total lack of fear when it comes to heights, we want to train you for a lifelong career in environmental safety and emissions tracking.

Job Responsibility

  • Performing critical safety and environmental emissions inspections on pressurized piping systems
  • Utilizing specialized technology (Acoustics, Method 21, and Infrared/OGI cameras) to identify process deficiencies
  • Accurately collecting, logging, and signing off on daily inspection data
  • Calibrating and maintaining sensitive field instruments daily
  • Working at heights—up to 300 feet in the air—while carrying a gear backpack

Requirements

  • Physical Fitness: This is a highly demanding role. You must be able to lift 50 lbs, walk long distances, crouch, bend, and climb extensively. No underlying back or medical conditions that limit heavy physical labor
  • Absolute Comfort with Heights: You will be working on permanent elevated platforms and high-rise scaffolding. If you are afraid of heights, this is not the role for you
  • Mechanical Aptitude: A basic understanding of industrial parts (valves, flanges, piping layouts) is required
  • Pre-Employment Screening: Must be able to pass a 12-Panel Drug & Alcohol test (including breathalyzer) and a Criminal Record Check (CRC)
  • Valid Driver's License: In good standing with a clean abstract (for driving to/from camp)
  • Safety Tickets: H2S Alive, Common Safety Orientation (CSO), and Fall Arrest/Fall Protection are required.

Nice to have

  • Standard First Aid
  • EPA or Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) certifications

What we offer

  • Competitive Compensation: Earn $35.00 – $37.00 per hour based on experience, with premium rates available for candidates holding EPA or Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) certifications
  • Paid Travel Time: Your time on the road is valued! Travel hours are compensated at 75% of your standard field rate
  • Career Investment & Training: Bring the right attitude, and the company will invest in your future, offering advanced training in EPA regulations and Gas Imaging technology
  • Culture of Pride & Accountability: Be part of a high-performance team where hard work is rewarded, you can sign your name to your work with pride, and your voice is truly listened to
  • Safety-First Environment: Join a workplace where both your physical and psychological safety are the absolute priorities
  • Advanced Technology Experience: Master industry-leading inspection technologies, including Method 21, acoustics, and infrared systems
  • Dynamic, Independent Work: Escape the desk and enjoy hands-on field work where your daily efforts make an immediate environmental and operational impact
  • Full camp provided (Drive-in / Drive-out)
