Job Responsibility
Manage a housing management legal caseload across the Hyde Group, delivering high-quality legal advice and litigation support
Advise on matters including anti-social behaviour, tenancy enforcement, possession proceedings, housing succession, leasehold and service charge disputes, and related housing litigation
Draft legal documents including pleadings, witness statements, notices and injunction applications, and instruct external counsel where appropriate
Provide practical, risk-based advice to colleagues across Housing Management and related teams
Support training and knowledge sharing across the business to strengthen legal understanding and case handling
Contribute to performance reporting, value for money and continuous improvement within the Legal team
Requirements
A qualified solicitor with a minimum of 2 years PQE and a current practising certificate or a Chartered Legal Executive
Strong experience in housing management litigation and advisory work in the social housing sector, ideally gained in-house, or in private practice
Excellent drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills, with the ability to manage a varied caseload independently
A practical and commercially aware approach, with confidence advising stakeholders at different levels across the business
Strong organisational skills, sound judgement and the ability to deliver high-quality legal support in a fast-paced environment
