Job Description:

Lawn Care Operative position with GreenThumb Ltd, UK's leading provider of lawn care. Responsible for delivering professional service to customers, identifying lawn issues, offering advice on treatments, and building customer relationships.

Job Responsibility:

  • Maintaining contact with customer before treatment (call ahead)
  • Visit designated customers daily to apply fertiliser and herbicide
  • Inform customer before work commences
  • Notify customer after treatment completion and supply invoice
  • Inform customer of next treatment date
  • Identify lawn issues and offer advice on lawn/mowing practice and additional treatments
  • Carry out essential Spring/Autumn machine work (Aerators, Scarifiers, lawn top-dressers) using professional lawncare machinery
  • Perform aeration and scarification to reduce moss, thatch and soil compaction safely
  • Use garden tools (rakes, leaf sweepers, brooms) to clear scarification waste
  • Work in team or alone on physically demanding machine work
  • Maintain all health and safety practices
  • Maintain high cleanliness of company vehicle and ensure all servicing completed
  • Ensure professional and smart appearance at all times
  • Carry out simple service calls as they arise
  • Carry out lawn analysis and quotations as required
  • Support business growth by speaking to potential customers and giving point of sale material
  • Maintain and update stock reports when required

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence for manual vehicles
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
  • Passion for lawn care
  • Ability to work independently, outdoors and keep active
  • Ability to deliver top quality customer service
  • Excellent organisation and timekeeping skills
  • Right to work in the UK
  • PA1/PA6 preferred (training provided)
