Job Description

Lawn Care Operative with GreenThumb Ltd, UK's leading provider of lawn care. Delivering professional service to customers, identifying lawn issues, offering advice on treatments, and building customer relationships.

Job Responsibility

  • Maintaining contact with the customer before a treatment is carried out
  • Visiting designated customers daily to apply fertiliser and herbicide
  • Informing the customer before work commences
  • Notifying the customer that treatment has been completed and supplying invoice
  • Informing customer of next treatment date
  • Identifying lawn issues and offering advice on lawn and mowing practice
  • Carrying out essential Spring/Autumn machine work (Aerators, Scarifiers, lawn top-dressers)
  • Aeration and scarification to reduce moss, thatch and soil compaction
  • Using garden tools such as rakes, leaf sweepers and brooms to clear scarification waste
  • Maintaining standards of all health and safety practices
  • Maintaining cleanliness of company vehicle
  • Ensuring professional and smart appearance
  • Carrying out simple service calls
  • Carrying out lawn analysis and quotations
  • Supporting business growth by speaking to potential customers
  • Maintaining and updating stock reports

Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence for manual vehicles
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
  • Passion for lawn care
  • Ability to deliver top quality customer service
  • Excellent organisation and timekeeping skills
  • Right to work in the UK
  • PA1/PA6 preferred (training provided)
