Lawn Operative

• Maintaining contact with the customer before a treatment is carried out
• Visiting designated customers daily to apply fertiliser and herbicide
• Informing the customer before work commences
• Notifying customer at conclusion of work and supplying invoice
• Informing customer of next treatment date
• Identifying lawn issues and offering advice on lawn and mowing practice
• Carrying out essential Spring/Autumn machine work (Aerators, Scarifiers, lawn top-dressers)
• Aeration and scarification to reduce moss, thatch and soil compaction
• Using regular garden tools such as rakes, leaf sweepers and brooms
• Working in a team or alone on physically demanding machine work
• Maintaining all health and safety practices
• Maintaining cleanliness of company vehicle
• Ensuring professional and smart appearance
• Carrying out simple service calls
• Carrying out lawn analysis and quotations
• Supporting business growth by speaking to potential customers
• Maintaining and updating stock reports

• Full UK driving licence for manual vehicles
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
• Passion for lawn care
• Ability to deliver top quality customer service
• Excellent organisation and timekeeping skills
• Right to work in the UK
• PA1/PA6 preferred (training provided)
