Due to growth and expansion, we have exciting opportunities for Lawn Care Operatives with GreenThumb Ltd, UK’s leading provider of lawn care. For over 36+ years we have been developing products such as the no scorch technology, lawn make overs and have now launched a brand new lawn treatment cycle service. As a Lawn Operative, you will be responsible for delivering a high level of professional service to customers across your treatment area. With training, you will be able to identify lawn issues and offer advice on treatments that may be required. Building relationships with our customers is essential, you will therefore be able to talk to our customers on every visit, offering expert advice on our products and services, helping us to build lawns that our customers will love!
Job Responsibility:
Maintaining contact with the customer before a treatment is carried out to inform them when you will be attending (call ahead)
Visiting a number of designated customers on a daily basis to apply fertiliser and herbicide
Informing the customer before any work commences
Notifying the customer that the treatment has been completed and supply the invoice explaining what work has been carried out
Informing the customer of the next treatment date
Identifying any lawn issues and offer any necessary advice on lawn and mowing practice and any additional treatments which may be required
Carrying out essential Spring/Autumn machine work such as Aerators, Scarifiers and lawn top-dressers using a variety of professional lawncare machinery
Carrying out aeration and scarification in a safe and professional manner
Using regular garden tools such as rakes, leaf sweepers and brooms to clear scarification waste
Maintaining standards of all health and safety practices
Maintaining a high level of cleanliness of the company vehicle and ensure all servicing is completed
Ensuring a professional and smart appearance at all times
Carrying out any necessary simple service calls as and when they arise
Carrying out lawn analysis and quotations as required
Supporting business growth by speaking to potential customers and giving point of sale material as requested
Maintain and update stock reports when required
Requirements:
Full UK driving licence for manual vehicles
Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
Passion for lawn care
Ability to work independently, outdoors and keep active
Ability to deliver top quality customer service
Excellent organisation and timekeeping skills
Right to work in the UK
Nice to have:
PA1/PA6 qualification
