Job Description:

Due to growth and expansion, we have exciting opportunities for Lawn Care Operatives with GreenThumb Ltd, UK’s leading provider of lawn care. For over 36+ years we have been developing products such as the no scorch technology, lawn make overs and have now launched a brand new lawn treatment cycle service. You will be responsible for delivering a high level of professional service to customers across your treatment area. With training, you will be able to identify lawn issues and offer advice on treatments that may be required. Building relationships with our customers is essential, you will therefore be able to talk to our customers on every visit, offering expert advice on our products and services, helping us to build lawns that our customers will love!

Job Responsibility:

  • Maintaining contact with the customer before a treatment is carried out to inform them when you will be attending
  • Visit designated customers daily to apply fertiliser and herbicide
  • Inform the customer before work commences
  • Notify customer at conclusion of work and supply invoice
  • Inform customer of next treatment date
  • Identify lawn issues and offer necessary advice
  • Carry out essential Spring/Autumn machine work using professional lawncare machinery
  • Perform aeration and scarification
  • Use regular garden tools to clear waste
  • Work in a team or alone on physically demanding machine work
  • Maintain all health and safety practices
  • Maintain high cleanliness of company vehicle
  • Ensure professional and smart appearance
  • Carry out simple service calls
  • Carry out lawn analysis and quotations
  • Support business growth by speaking to potential customers
  • Maintain and update stock reports

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence for manual vehicles
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
  • Passion for lawn care
  • Ability to work independently, outdoors and keep active
  • Ability to deliver top quality customer service
  • Excellent organisation and timekeeping skills
  • Right to work in the UK

  • Actively promote, coach and mentor team members on best practice including regularly attending and observing lawn treatments carried out by the Lawn Operatives
  • Liaise with Head Office, GTA and HR on the recruitment, interviewing and training of Lawn Operatives
  • Ensure scheduled crew runs are appropriate and are effectively communicated to the Lawn Operatives. Ensure that customer advance notifications are completed on a timely basis
  • Support and line manage Lawn Operative’s achievement of daily and weekly treatment values and regularly liaise with the Scheduling team
  • Manage and drive continuous improvement of product knowledge and knowledge of weeds, disorders and diseases within the team
