Job Description:

O'Hagan Meyer is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our busy law firm in the Chicago Loop. The ideal candidate will have initiative, a sharp eye for detail, and take pride in producing error-free work. The right candidate will also demonstrate discretion, professionalism, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, helping to ensure that billing processes run smoothly and efficiently.

Job Responsibility:

  • Enter attorney time into billing system
  • Help billing team with performing edits to attorneys' time at the prebill stage
  • Look over finalized work, reviewing for errors or duplicate entries before turning in the final product
  • Retain organized list to track task completed vs open tasks to be done
  • Prepare emails to clients with approved invoices under deductibles

Requirements:

  • Accurate typing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and Adobe (PDFs)
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Proficiency in data/task management
  • Clear, professional communication skills and a team-player mindset
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced setting
  • Assist with projects as needed and other duties as assigned
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
