Job Description

Legal Services of North Florida is hiring a Law Firm Assistant, also known as a Pro Bono Assistant. Work for a non-profit law firm, with 140+ employees in eight offices across North Florida, that seeks legal justice for low-income and vulnerable individuals and families while understanding the value of work-life balance. Legal Services of North Florida is a non-profit legal firm and never charges a fee for services to clients. LSNF works to meet the legal needs of children, elderly, victims of abuse, and those with disabilities. LSNF's priority areas of representation include support for families; preserving the home; maintaining economic stability; safety, stability and health; and serving populations with special vulnerabilities. These translate to cases involving Family Law, Housing, Public Benefits, Employment, Education, and Health Care issues. This position could be located in any of our office locations.

Job Responsibility

  • Work within our Pro Bono Team to support and coordinate improvements in efforts to optimize pro bono (volunteer) attorney and law student involvement and case work experience
  • Part of a three-year project designed to implement new transformative programs, including new technology, to create more efficient processes to better serve our communities

Requirements

  • Minimum requirement is high school diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate AND one year of office administration or office assistant work
  • Must be experienced in Microsoft Office products and willing to learn new technologies and platforms
  • Candidates should be detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and work well within a team

Nice to have

Experience with technology, as well as the change process and implementation steps is a plus
