As a AirportLaw Enforcement Officer - Armed Patrol in Honolulu, HI, you will safeguard the airport, staff, and it's facilities. Along with driving, patrolling, checking, and securing doors. Job Responsibility
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner
Ability to exercise sound judgement and render immediate, appropriate decisions, under stressful conditions
Maturity in conduct behavior and attitude
Ability to take orders, follow instructions, accept and assume responsibility for one's actions
Alertness, attentiveness, and professional conduct. Ability to recognize, respond and take appropriate and corrective actions to various situations
Strong moral character. Must possess high standards and be truthful
Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing in English
Courtesy in inter-person relationships with the public, airport employees, tenants, law enforcement and security personnel
LEOs may be required to provide a court appearance for citations that are issued on behalf of DOTA. Contractor shall provide replacement staffing for LEOs that are required to attend a court proceeding
Requirements
2+ years of professional law enforcement experience in the U.S. after graduating from a certified law enforcement academy (Federal, State, or County level)
Graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or Equivalent (must provide credentials upon applying)
Valid Driver's License
Law Enforcement Officer License
22+ years of age
No felony convictions or convictions for abuse of a household member under Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968 (18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(9)) or documented truthfulness infractions in violation of Giglio/Henthorn for federal impeachment proceedings
Shall have no record of moral turpitude, domestic violence, untruthfulness, or mental or emotional disorders which may interfere with performance of duties
Be able to successfully pass a security background check conducted by the DOTA pass and ID office
Pass and complete a one-time physical examination within the past 6 months
Pass a 12-panel drug test and pass all future random drug testing
Correctable, vision to 20/30 each eye with normal color vision
