Performs a broad range of support and paralegal duties for Gonzaga School of Law's Clinical Legal Programs as assigned by the Director of clinical law programs and the Office Manager/Assistant to the Director.
Job Responsibility:
Performs a broad range of support and paralegal duties for Gonzaga School of Law's Clinical Legal Programs
Administrative Support: Performs a wide range of complex paralegal duties requiring independent judgment and initiative on assignments that are sensitive in nature
Perform complex word processing tasks such as complex court pleadings, briefs, letters
Manages correspondence for various clinics
Maintains professional and accurate records including confidential reports and information, both in electronic and written format
Scheduling of appointments, calendars, meetings, travel and other events, including the procurement of logistical needs
Grant Reporting: Prepare grant reports and grant and periodic statistical reports and annual grant renewal applications
Use spreadsheet database software for related grants
Legal Word Processing: Ensures that legal documents are prepared according established formats and court procedures
Checks legal citations and references, ensures that legal documents are prepared in accordance with established formats
Files documents electronically in various courts
Additional Duties as Assigned by the Department
Requirements:
Vocational, Associates, or Technical Degree
1 year of related experience
Paralegal Certificate
College or course work in paralegal studies
Proficient in creating table of contents and table or authorities
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word
Proficient in English written and verbal communication skills
