Job Description:

A Laundry Washer/Sorter supports daily laundry operations by efficiently sorting, washing, and drying a variety of linens in accordance with cleanliness, safety, and quality standards. This role ensures proper machine operation, accurate load handling, and consistent output to maintain a smooth, reliable flow of clean linens for the operation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Sort soiled linens into appropriate wash categories, identify stained or damaged items, and accurately load and unload washers and dryers while ensuring proper load weights
  • Select correct wash cycles and chemical formulas for each linen type, transfer washed items to dryers, and monitor load size and drying times based on fabric and weight
  • Deliver clean, dried linens to designated areas for folding or further processing
  • Operate and maintain laundry equipment by performing routine cleaning, including clearing lint traps, following proper start‑up and shut‑down procedures, and reporting equipment issues promptly
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well‑stocked work area, ensuring all necessary chemicals and supplies are readily available
