As Laundry Supervisor, you will support the Housekeeping and Laundry leadership team in ensuring the highest standards of linen care, uniform presentation and operational efficiency. You will oversee the daily laundry operations, ensuring all processes are executed with precision, consistency and a strong focus on quality. This role is ideal for an organised and hands‑on professional with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence in a luxury hospitality environment.
Job Responsibility
Oversee daily laundry operations, ensuring all linen, terry and uniforms are processed to the highest standards
Complete and maintain accurate inventory of uniforms and linens
Conduct regular stock checks of laundry supplies and report variances as required
Ensure timely fulfilment of laundry requests across all departments
Operate and monitor washing, drying and dry-cleaning equipment, ensuring correct usage at all times
Inspect linens and terry items for quality, damage and cleanliness, removing substandard items from circulation
Report faulty equipment, maintenance requirements and safety hazards promptly
Train team members on laundry procedures, safety protocols and equipment operation
Support recruitment, scheduling, training and performance management of laundry associates
Motivate, coach and guide the team to deliver consistent quality and productivity
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, quality and cost control within the laundry function
Requirements
Proven experience in laundry or housekeeping operations, ideally within a luxury hotel environment
Strong knowledge of laundry processes, fabric care and equipment operation
Ability to supervise and motivate a team to achieve operational goals
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
Good organisational and time-management skills in a fast-paced setting
Awareness of health & safety practices within a laundry environment
Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork
Physical capability to perform operational tasks associated with the role
