We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Laundry Supervisor to join our team in Phu Quoc, Vietnam. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our hotel's laundry department, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and service quality.
Job Responsibility:
Supervise and coordinate laundry operations, ensuring adherence to hotel standards and procedures
Manage and maintain laundry equipment, ensuring proper set-up, maintenance, and adherence to operating instructions
Oversee the correct and economical use of laundry chemicals, ensuring proper storage and compliance with environmental procedures
Maintain appropriate linen and laundry par stocks
Train and supervise laundry staff on proper textile care and handling techniques
Conduct regular quality checks on linens and uniforms, recommending replacements when necessary
Ensure efficient linen distribution to hotel floors and outlets
Manage the proper handling and distribution of guest, manager, and employee uniforms
Prepare and maintain accurate records of chemical consumption and monthly productivity reports
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations
Handle guest complaints professionally and efficiently
Conduct daily briefings with the laundry team to review tasks and activities
Participate in staff training, development, and motivation initiatives
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the laundry area
Requirements:
Diploma or degree in Hotel Management or a related field
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory role within a high volume luxury hotel or resort laundry department
Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills
Comprehensive knowledge of laundry equipment, chemicals, and processes
Strong understanding of textile care and maintenance
Proven leadership and team management abilities
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
Keen attention to detail and commitment to quality
Proficiency in using laundry management software and Microsoft Office suite
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
