Job Description:

Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery at The Westin Saraya Aqaba Resort & Spa. Responsible for handling chemicals, inspecting laundry items, maintaining equipment, folding cleaned articles, and ensuring quality standards while following all safety protocols and company policies.

Job Responsibility:

Operate laundry machinery
Monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying processes
Handle chemical additives
Clean and maintain equipment
Inspect and sort laundry items
Fold and organize cleaned articles
Maintain accurate records
Follow safety protocols
Maintain professional appearance
Support team goals
Ensure quality standards
Identify efficiency improvements

Requirements:

Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery
Add chemicals and clean lint traps
Identify stained or damaged items and determine status for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard
Inspect cleanliness of articles removed from machines
Set dryers to designated times and temperatures based on fabrics
Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, filters, and drain trap
Fold cleaned articles into designated size
Maintain accurate records of items laundered
Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures
Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions
Complete safety training and certifications
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
Protect company assets
Develop and maintain positive working relationships
Support team to reach common goals
Listen and respond appropriately to concerns of other employees
Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
Identify, recommend, develop, and implement new ways to increase organizational efficiency
Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds
Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces
Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
Move up and down stairs and/or service ramps
Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping

Nice to have:
