The Laundry Machine Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all commercial laundry equipment to ensure the timely cleaning of linens, towels, uniforms, and other textiles for the Dellshire Resort. This position plays an essential role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, quality, and productivity within the Laundry Department. The Laundry Machine Operator supports daily production goals by operating washers, dryers, folders, and presses according to established resort procedures and safety standards.
Job Responsibility:
Operate large-capacity commercial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, extractors, and presses
Load, measure, and monitor proper chemical and detergent use in all machines per established guidelines
Sort, weigh, and prepare soiled linens for processing, ensuring accurate load sizes
Monitor machine performance, water temperature, and cycle times to ensure quality and efficiency
Inspect laundered items for cleanliness, damage, or stains, and rewash or report as needed
Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of laundry equipment, including lint trap cleaning and daily checks
Maintain accurate production logs and equipment use records
Assist in folding, pressing, and organizing finished linens and uniforms as needed
Follow all safety and sanitation policies, including the correct handling of chemicals and personal protective equipment (PPE)
Report mechanical issues, chemical supply shortages, or operational concerns to leadership immediately
Support inventory control efforts for linens, chemicals, and supplies
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area at all times
Uphold Dellshire Resort’s standards of excellence, professionalism, and teamwork in every task performed
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 1 year of experience in commercial or industrial laundry operations preferred
Knowledge of laundry processes, equipment, and chemical handling
Ability to operate and troubleshoot washers, dryers, and presses safely and efficiently
Strong attention to detail, organization, and quality control
Physically capable of performing repetitive motions and handling heavy loads
Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Availability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and evenings
