Job Description:

Operate laundry machinery, maintain cleanliness standards, follow safety procedures, and support hotel operations at The Westin Calgary

Job Responsibility:

Uniform repairs
Uniform inventory management
Stripping linen
Room checks
Public space duties as required

Requirements:

Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery
Add chemicals and clean lint traps
Identify stained or damaged items and determine status for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard
Inspect cleanliness of articles
Set dryers to designated times and temperatures based on fabrics
Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, filters, and drain trap
Fold cleaned articles by hand or using folding machine
Maintain accurate records of items laundered
Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures
Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions
Complete safety training and certifications
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
Protect company assets
Develop and maintain positive working relationships
Support team to reach common goals
Listen and respond appropriately to concerns
Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
Identify, recommend, develop, and implement ways to increase efficiency
Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
Move, lift, carry, push, pull objects up to 25 pounds
Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces
Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
Move up and down stairs and service ramps
Reach overhead and below knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, stooping
