Job Description:

Laundry Attendant is an integral part of the Laundry Team who collectively is responsible for the meticulous upkeep of all linens used throughout the hotel as well as the detailed dry cleaning of our guests clothing.

Job Responsibility:

  • Answer telephone calls from guests requiring cleaning or pressing services
  • Log the request and go to Guest Room to pick up the clothing that needs service
  • Ascertain time completed goods are required
  • Count the items and give guest a completed receipt
  • Mark guest clothing for identification
  • Sort guest items for appropriate action (Washing, dry cleaning, pressing or repair) and then process the clothing on the correct equipment, using the appropriate temperature and chemicals
  • Once processed, fold or hang the clothing as desired
  • Deliver clothing to guest at time desired
  • Sort employee uniforms for appropriate action (Washing, dry cleaning, pressing or repair) and then process the clothing on the correct equipment using the appropriate temperature and chemicals
  • Once processed, hang and transport clean uniforms to Housekeeping
  • Operate and maintain washer, dryer, dry cleaning machine, steam tunnel, presser and iron
  • Report any problems or deficiencies to manager
  • Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
  • Assist with responsibilities and duties in the absence or heavy volume in the areas of Laundry and Housekeeping

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years previous Housekeeping/Laundry attendant experience in a fast paced laundry or dry cleaning operation
  • Good communication skills in the French and English languages
  • A minimal knowledge of English is required to understand labels or simple instructions on clothing
  • All applicants applying must hold a valid work permit at the time of submitting their application - unfortunately Four Seasons is not able to obtain on your behalf
  • Knowledge of the various cleaning products and machines used is a plus
  • Ability to push, pull, lift and carry up to 25lbs
  • Ability to work all shifts (mornings, evenings, weekends)
  • Attention to the details and ability to multi-task is important
  • Knowledge in sewing and clothing repair is a big plus

  • Knowledge of the various cleaning products and machines used is a plus
