Job Description:

At The Ritz-Carlton Bacara Santa Barbara, the Laundry Attendant is responsible for operating and monitoring laundry equipment, folding cleaned items, maintaining records, and supporting team goals. The position prioritizes safety, cleanliness, and adherence to company standards.

Job Responsibility:

Operate and monitor laundry machinery
add chemicals and clean lint traps
determine status of damaged or stained items
maintain cleanliness of equipment
record laundering activities
follow safety protocols
support team goals
inspect tools and equipment
stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
handle objects up to 25 pounds.

Requirements:

Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery
add chemicals and clean lint traps
identify stained or damaged items and determine status for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard
inspect cleanliness of items removed from machines
place items in clean linen carts
set dryers based on fabrics
remove lint and debris from equipment after each load
fold cleaned items manually or using a folding machine
maintain accurate laundering records
follow company safety and security policies and procedures
report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions
complete safety training
ensure uniform and appearance are clean and professional
maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
protect company assets
develop and maintain positive working relationships
support team goals
listen and respond appropriately to coworkers' concerns
ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
recommend and implement ways to increase efficiency and safety
visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects
stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 25 pounds
navigate narrow or elevated spaces
work on uneven or slippery surfaces
bend, twist, pull, and stoop.
