As Laundry Attendant, you will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation across all hotel linen, guest clothing and uniforms. Working behind the scenes, you will ensure all items are processed with care, precision and efficiency, supporting the overall guest experience through impeccable attention to detail. This role is ideal for a reliable and detail‑driven individual who takes pride in delivering quality and consistency within a fast‑paced luxury environment.
Job Responsibility
Operate and monitor washing, drying and dry-cleaning machines in line with established procedures
Sort, inspect and identify stained or damaged items, determining appropriate action such as rewash or repair
Set appropriate wash and drying cycles based on fabric type and load requirements
Fold, press and prepare linen and garments to required presentation standards
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area, machines and equipment
Remove lint, debris and waste from machines and filters after each cycle
Accurately record and track items processed in the laundry system
Ensure all laundry items are handled with care and returned promptly to the relevant departments
Support the distribution of clean linen, uniforms and guest items across the hotel
Report equipment faults, maintenance concerns or safety issues promptly
Follow all health, safety, hygiene and chemical handling procedures
Work collaboratively with Housekeeping and other departments to ensure seamless operations
Requirements
Previous experience in laundry, housekeeping or cleaning operations
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and quality standards
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
A proactive and hands-on approach to operational duties
Strong teamwork and communication skills
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Professional presentation and a commitment to high standards
