Job Description:

Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery at The West Hollywood EDITION hotel, ensuring proper cleaning and maintenance of linens while following all safety procedures and quality standards.

Job Responsibility:

Operate laundry machinery
Inspect and clean laundry items
Maintain laundry equipment
Follow safety procedures
Maintain cleanliness and organization
Support team goals

Requirements:

Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery
Add chemicals and clean lint traps
Identify stained or damaged items and determine status for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard
Inspect cleanliness of articles
Set dryers to designated times and temperatures based on fabrics
Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, and drain trap
Fold cleaned articles into designated size
Maintain accurate records of items laundered
Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures
Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions
Complete safety training and certifications
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
Protect company assets
Develop and maintain positive working relationships
Support team to reach common goals
Listen and respond appropriately to concerns
Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
Identify, recommend, develop, and implement new ways to increase efficiency
Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing ≤25 pounds
Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces
Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
Move up and down stairs and/or service ramps
Reach overhead and below the knees
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested

Nice to have:

No high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
No related work experience
No supervisory experience
No license or certification required
