Job Description:

Operate laundry machinery, monitor cleaning processes, maintain equipment, ensure quality standards, follow safety procedures, and contribute to team goals in a hotel resort environment.

Job Responsibility:

Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery
Add chemicals and clean lint traps
Identify stained or damaged items and determine status for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard
Inspect cleanliness of articles removed from machines
Set dryers to designated times and temperatures based on fabrics
Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, filters, and drain trap
Fold cleaned articles into designated size
Maintain accurate records of items laundered
Follow all company safety and security policies
Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions
Complete safety training and certifications
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
Develop and maintain positive working relationships
Support team to reach common goals
Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
Identify and recommend ways to increase efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings

Requirements:

No high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
No related work experience
No supervisory experience
No license or certification required
Ability to operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery
Ability to identify stained or damaged items
Ability to inspect cleanliness of articles
Physical ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
Physical ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull objects up to 25 pounds
Ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces
Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
Ability to reach overhead and below knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
