Performs flatwork finishing
shakes out dry, clean laundry and folds for mangling
works as a catcher and folder after laundry is pressed
Records the number of linens distributed by department
Counts and stacks linens for distribution or places them in supply storage
reports linen supply shortages to leads
Adheres to TMC organizational and department-specific safety, confidentiality, values, policies and standards
Performs related duties as assigned
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience

Ability to operate industrial ironing/pressing machine
Ability to neatly fold linens and hospital garments according to protocol
Ability to read or listen and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to write simple correspondence
Ability to effectively converse and relay information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers
Ability to read a clock and accurately document time
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
