Job Responsibility:

  • Sort washing into relevant groups and process it through the washer, drier and iron
  • Keep clean and dirty linen separate
  • Return washing to linen cupboard, dining room and kitchen
  • Perform minor repairs to residents’ clothing
  • Name and place unmarked clothes in appropriate boxes
  • Ensure laundry room is clean and tidy daily
  • Use appropriate protective clothing when dealing with soiled/infected linen
  • Ensure statutory Health & Safety standards
  • Report any illness or accident to Home Manager or Person in Charge
